Spain is located on the Iberian Peninsula. It is divided into 17 autonomous communities and two autonomous cities, with Madrid as the capital. The official language of Spain is Spanish, together with the co-official languages of some autonomous communities within their territories. The official currency is the euro (EUR).

At the economic level, GDP grew by 2.5% in 2023. For 2024, a 1.9% increase in GDP is estimated. Spain's budget deficit in 2023 was 3.7%. The first estimates place a deficit of around 3% of GDP in 2024.
