Dubai has become one of the most attractive destinations for setting up a company and going to live, thanks to the many advantages it offers, such as low taxes for both individuals and companies, and other additional benefits that we have explored in another article on our blog:BENEFITS OF LIVING IN DUBAI
At Gestoria Ibérica, we have assisted more than 60 clients in the creation of their companies in 14 days, providing personalized advice and consulting throughout the process. We know the advantages you can take advantage of and the obstacles you could face during the creation of your company.
Here are the essential steps to start a business in Dubai:
The first step is to choose the legal structure of the company. Dubai offers several options:
This is the most popular option, since you can register the company in more than 40 different areas, the best known being IFZA.

Once the legal structure has been defined, the next step is to choose the company's commercial activity. Dubai offers a wide variety of business options, the main ones being: Consulting, Holding and Trading.
After selecting the business activity, you will have to wait for authorization from the Dubai government. This process can take time and may require the submission of certain documents.
Once the authorities approve the permit, you'll be able to choose a name for your company. It is important to note that you cannot use a name that is already registered in Dubai.
This step will take us about 5 days. With the approved name, you can proceed to register the company officially in Dubai.
Once registered, you'll need to obtain a business license to operate legally. This process may also take some time until final approval.
When the company is already incorporated and registered, the last step will be to acquire a physical address or registered office for your business in Dubai.
Finally, you will have to carry out the tax registration of your company through the Corporate Tax (Corporate Tax). You have a period of 3 months from the acquisition of the office to do it. If you exceed this deadline, you could be penalized.
You can complete the tax registration from the following link:Corporate Tax
This tax registration must be submitted to the Dubai tax authorities at the end of the year. If your company generates profits of more than 90,000 euros per year, you must pay up to 9% on the amount that exceeds that figure.
Until December 31, 2026, there is an aid called Small Business Relief, which exempts small businesses from paying taxes if they do not bill more than 750,000 euros annually.
Note: It is not necessary to have a personal bank account in Dubai to carry out the Corporate Tax.
As we mentioned at the beginning, we can open your company in Dubai in just 14 days. Here's the detailed process:
During the first few days, you will provide us with the necessary information to proceed with the registration of the company, we will manage a physical office, included for a very affordable price thanks to the agreements we have with the Free Trade Zones and Mainland. Within this period, we will provide you with the name of the company, the business license, and the articles of association of the company with the rules established between the partners.
We will obtain the Establishment Card, a card that will allow you to hire foreign personnel, including your own hiring if you also need a work visa. This card is key to managing international employee visas.
The next step is to open a visa permit so you can enter the country. Although it is possible to enter as a tourist, we do not recommend this option, since it requires paying an additional cost to change the visa. With this permission, we optimize both time and cost.
Once you have permission to enter Dubai, you must perform medical and fingerprint tests with the police, which will allow you to obtain your residence visa. This visa is necessary to open bank accounts and carry out other essential procedures.
